This year Valentine’s Day will relieve one of India’s great love stories, a historical drama “Jodhaa Akbar”. The $10 million film is one of Bollywood’s biggest productions this year. It will be released worldwide on Friday, in more than 100 theaters in the United States alone, making it the biggest American release ever for a Hindi film.
The film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, called Jodhaa Akbar, is an historical romance set in 16th century India. The film follows the relationship between Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, a Mughal emperor who ruled Hindustan, and the fiery young Rajput princess Jodhaa. Aishwarya will be seen as Jodhaa and Hrithik will be seen as Akbar in this epic romance.
